Saving injured or disabled animals? Some are doing their job. For almost 4 years, Stéphanie Lesicki has dogs, cats, pigs or ferrets bruised by life.

A passion from childhood

Stephanie is 8 years old when she decides to save Suzi, a competition mare destined for the slaughterhouse following a big injury during a jump. Blighted by so much determination, his parents, at the head of an animal shelter agree to collect the mare. Stephanie promises to help all the creatures in distress and, a few years later, she will do her job.

A mishmash of happy animals

As a veterinary assistant, the young woman today welcomes up to 150 sick or handicapped animals in the farmhouse she has just bought in the Orne. Pigs, ferrets, foals, dogs and cats ... All need heavy treatments - stings, medication - and lots of love . Not easy to put them in confidence, but "when it is won, it is only happiness".

The citizen's hand

Stéphanie can count on some fifteen volunteers, who take turns at her side according to their availability, and on some benevolent veterinarians. But the demands of reception never cease to flow: between 10 and 15 calls a day, sometimes even coming from abroad. And the layout of the premises is not finished .... Notice to gifts and goodwill, serious and devoted.
