Giorgio Armani, from haute couture to perfume

After launching his own home in 1974, in Milan, with a line of clothing dedicated to men and then women, Giorgio Armani decided to diversify his activities in the early 80's. It was then that he embarked on the universe of perfume by signing a partnership with L'Oréal. Its first successful perfume is the "Eau Armani", released in 1984. This men's fragrance is a woody citrus with fresh notes. It is distinguished by an architectural bottle with a glass block placed on a black plastic base and surmounted by a cylindrical stopper made of plastic and metal. In 1992, Giorgio Armani released a perfume for women: "Gio". Four years later, "Acqua Di Gio" is one of the biggest success stories of men's perfumery. It is followed by its feminine version, "Acqua di Gioia". But "Sensi" and "Armani Code" have also become references in the world of perfumery.

"Emporio Armani": a young and trendy line

"Armani private": a line of Haute Couture perfume

The "Private Armani" collection is a line of haute couture perfumes. It was born from the desire of Giorgio Armani to create exclusive perfumes for him and his friends. This collection of fragrances is inspired by the personal memories and emotions of the creator. Each of the collection's perfumes is made up of rare ingredients to give them a rare purity and power. One of the newborns of this collection is "Shadow and Light". For this new opus, Giorgio Armani wanted to capture the luminous force of sambac jasmine supported by paradisone, but also the shadow of the iris supported by the ambrox. "Armani Privé" also counts "Figuier Eden", a fragrance derived from the fragrant secrets of the fig tree associated with zest and pink berries. "Rose Alexandrie" is a haute couture eau de toilette created as a tribute to the gardens of Alexandria. It is composed of floral and honeyed notes sublimated by the mandarin of Italy and the vanilla heat of the tears of benzoin.
