The use of bergamot
The essential oil of bergamot is used for its therapeutic virtues. Indeed, it has antispasmodic, disinfecting, purifying properties and is useful for fighting intestinal or digestive problems. It also helps to reduce stress and anxiety and even to fight insomnia and depression. However, its use is dangerous in the sun because it is photosensitizing. In addition, its use in the culinary or food sector is appreciated: bergamot can be found in tajines, candies called "Bergamotes de Nancy", tea ... Also, its zest is delicious with seafood. Finally, perfumers and beauty centers integrate it in their juices and cosmetics.

Bergamot and its use in perfumery
First, the essence of bergamot is produced by cold expression of the zest of the fruit. Its smell is fruity, floral, zest, acid, sweet and explosive at the same time. Its very fresh notes are perfectly melted in Eau de Cologne, in which the essence of bergamot is widely used. Moreover, it goes very well with the chypre, hesperid, eastern, amber and fern chords. It is found in the masculine and feminine fragrances. For example, Christian Dior fragrances illustrate this dual use. The house integrates bergamot in its masculine juices like "Eau Sauvage" and "Dior Homme Cologne", and in its feminine juices like "Dune", "Escale à Pondichéry", "Escale à Portofino" and "Diorella". Other perfumers do the same, as Chanel, Guerlain, Hermes ...
