Désirée de Lamarzelle: How did this scenario idea come about?

Audrey Dana: I was first surrounded by authors, Murielle Magellan and Maud Ameline. In our rather tense society, my main idea was to make people laugh and offer entertainment to the spectators. After that if I manage to move the lines so much the better. I interviewed to feed my film hundreds of men who talked to me about their intimacy. It was very gratifying.

What message do you want to make?

I think women have to take their place in society. But men too. My film is an invitation to reconciliation between the two sexes. I am a feminist, but I am above all a humanist. I am for the equality of men and women. A general equality. As women we still have many ways to go because today there are still unacceptable things happening in the world that could make us want to never get up again in the morning.

But there are also areas where men are not given a place. If we want to fight for our place, we must also give way to men in certain areas, such as the family, for example. A lot of things are carried on the shoulders of the past.

We must not forget that men are not responsible for what is happening today. They are educated like women. Like when our mom told us "cross the legs". This is the problem.

As the film progresses, we can see Jeanne gain in confidence, even with her attribute in addition!

It is a film about courage. My character never dreamed of having this attribute. For her it is a nightmare. Besides, the whole comedy rests on that. she must learn to live with something that she does not assume. It is an invitation to assume as one is, with its differences. And, surprisingly when traveling in this masculinity she meets as a woman.

It is becoming more and more beautiful!

That is true. My character that I interpret assumes more and more. And if she gets more and more beautiful it's just because she has more and more confidence in herself. It is trust that makes a person beautiful. You have to dare.

I think that we are made up of both masculine and feminine. To meet as a human being, woman or man, is to find the balance between the two.

Do you think that one uses the word hysterical to all goes just to say "attention there women you dare too much"?

If you take any animal and lock it up for weeks and then open the door, what happens to you? He will run in all directions and as fast as possible. He's going to want to breathe.

Women's rights are being receded, as in the United States, for example, with administrative constraints that restrict the right to abortion in certain states

Women have fought for rights for years. But today we realize that these are not acquired. We live in a society where the beauty canons have evolved into a caricature of femininity, with cheekbones, generous lips, no wrinkles and breasts as big as possible. It's delirium.

You are part of this small community of women directors. Statistics show that they rarely go until the second film ...

You have to move the lines. Worldwide, 97% of directors are men. And then we are surprised that there is a problem concerning the image of women. It is time to reintroduce feminine into society. It's essential. It is necessary to find a masculine-feminine balance within oneself in order to find oneself, in order to meet one another. The world is essentially male-dominated. We go straight into the wall.

Do you already have a new film project?

I am currently working on a series for France 2. The channel opened the second part of the evening. This will be their first creation. So it will be very free and unbridled. I hope it will work (laughs)!
