ingredients

400 g chopped beef "special chili con carne" Valtero
1 beautiful red or yellow pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
250 g canned red beans (drained)
250 g cherry tomatoes
14 sheets of brick
1 egg
Salt and pepper

Steps

Beef and red bean bricks

Heat a frying pan over high heat (without fat, if it is nonstick), then fry the minced beef for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring regularly.

While cooking, wash the pepper , cut it in half, remove the green and white parts and the seeds. Slice the flesh into slices and dice.

Heat a second skillet or sauté pan, and sauté the peppers with olive oil and a little salt, for one to two minutes, stirring regularly.

Wash and drain the tomatoes , then cut them in 4. Drain the beans.

Off the heat, mix peppers, meat, tomatoes and beans. Salt and pepper as needed.

Preheat the oven to 180 ° C (item 6).

Spread the bricks two by two (to get 6 bricks), and reinforce the center of each double sheet with an extra quarter of a leaf.

Spread the filling in the center of each brick.

Separate the egg white and yolk into 2 small bowls or ramekins, and add a little salt with the yolk.

Brush the edges of the bricks with egg white, so that the filling can be wrapped in a rectangular slipper, as when wrapping a gift pack.

Place the bricks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brown the top with salted egg yolk, and bake for about 20 minutes.

Serve one and a half brig per person, accompanied by a salad of arugula, spinach or young shoots.

tips

Do not salt the hash : it is already seasoned.

Pepper the filling only at the end of the preparation, so that the pepper keeps its freshness.
