Captain Bruno says he is working hard to be another integral part for Brighton in the Premier League next season.

Bruno, who has been with the Seagulls since 2012 when arriving from Valencia, has been a regular first-team fixture in the five years he has been at the AMEX Stadium, making 188 Championship appearances with 183 of those being starts.

The 36-year-old Spaniard missed just four league games last season as Brighton finished runners-up to champions Newcastle United, securing automatic promotion to England's top flight.

Manager Chris Hughton has been busy trying to bring in reinforcements this summer and, despite already signing three players, more new arrivals are expected before the window shuts.

Bruno is hoping he is still given the nod at right-back and the skipper is working tirelessly in pre-season to ensure he leads the team out in the opener against Manchester City on August 12.

He told the club's official website: "I'm going to try to keep playing week after week. I took the decision to keep playing because I am feeling good, I am working so hard and I try to play every single game."
