There was a time when planning to go shopping on a Sunday afternoon was pure fantasy. From now on, the opening of the shops on Sunday is a reality. In 2015, Zara pioneered opening on Sunday. The brand signs a trade union agreement allowing it to open its stores located in International Tourist Zones (ZTI) every Sunday of the year.

One year later, no less than sixty agreements have been concluded. From now on, the shops of several streets and tourist districts of the capital are now open seven days a week. The shops of the rue de Rivoli are open in their entirety while the district of Les Halles offers a wide range of choices question shopping (Calzedonia, Bershka, H & M ...).

In May 2016, BHV Marais was the first Parisian department store to open on Sunday, followed by Galeries Lafayette, which opened for the first time on January 8th. As for Printemps: the agreement will be put in place by the end of the first half of 2017 for all these stores across France.

  • Shopping centers

With more than a dozen shopping centers open on Sundays, the Parisians are spoiled. Among them, the center Beaugrenelle where 80% of shops are open on the last day of the week. There is a nice range of brands: Etam, Comptoir des Cotonniers, American Vintage, Ba & sh, or H & M.
