Since April, Ikea has added 47 new items to its 'Stockholm' collection. Comfort, natural inspirations, softness ... We tell you more!

What is Slow Design?

Slow Design is a little Nordic comfort, seen by Ikea. To better understand the demand, the Swedish giant kit furniture interviewed consumers. Result? 54% think that a comfortable interior helps to relax . A good reason to bet more on well being ... without denying aesthetics. The answer is with its 47 new pieces that Ikea gives it. Authentic materials , sleek design , tribute to Scandinavia, Ikea wanted a homecoming with natural materials and simple shapes, able to bring softness and serenity to our interior.

Ikea Stockholm surfs the deco trends

Ikea's other successful bet is to mix comfort with the trends of the season. Velvet , a darling of fashion and home, is the star of the 'Stockholm' collection. Available in orange-red, dark gray or dark blue, this is the material of 2 and 3 seater sofas, and a pouf, which can also serve as a footrest or side table. A material both soft and luxurious, super comfortable and designed to resist abrasion. The other star of the collection? It's rattan . Ikea now offers an armchair a little in the style of Emmanuelle's iconic armchair and a storage unit that gives envy from elsewhere. A touch of exoticism meticulously proportioned, combined with the Scandinavian tradition, so dear to the giant furniture!
The other parts? Items for the blue glass table, carpets in shades of gray, red, cushions .... A multitude of objects to bring comfort and softness to its interior.
