The different varieties of cherry

Although there are several hundred varieties of cherries throughout the world, only 12 are cultivated in significant proportions in France. Most of the known varieties belong to the family of bigarreaux , sweet cherries that are often crunched as they are . Others are more bitter and are mainly intended for the agri-food industry .
