Salford look set to be without Lama Tasi for two games as he faces a ban after being charged with striking with the shoulder.

The 27-year-old forward's tackle on Wigan prop Taulima Tautai during the Red Devils' 27-14 Challenge Cup semi-final defeat on Sunday was viewed as a Grade B offence by the Rugby Football League's match review panel.

As a result Tasi must now face a disciplinary hearing in Leeds on Tuesday with the likely outcome being a two-match ban which is the recommended maximum punishment.

It means Salford will be without Tasi for Friday's Super League trip to Hull FC and the visit of Castleford Tigers a week later.

Meanwhile, Wigan look set to be without hooker Sam Powell after he was charged with Grade B dangerous contact on Tasi in a separate incident.

But he can submit an early guilty plea to leave him facing just a one-match suspension which would see him miss Friday's clash against Leeds Rhinos at Headingley.
