Armani Runway, the collection of make-up thought in backstage

The Armani Runway collection is not a make-up line like any other.

Created in correlation with the ready-to-wear collection of the coming season, Linda Cantello imagines it only a few days before the show, directly in backstage.

A few months later, the collection is offered in shops to customers wishing to craft a make-up worthy of the biggest fashion shows. The height of luxury, each product is nicely coiled in a piece of fabric reminiscent of the flagship print of the show.

A collection born from the osmosis between two artists

A work made possible by the complicity of Linda Cantello with the creator of the same name: "Mr. Armani already has an idea of what he wants and I translate it. She says.

Two artists endowed with the same sensibility, able to talk to each other and to understand each other by simple glances to imagine a new makeup collection.

Lab Armani Runway: The Flagship Tool of the Runway Collection

It is thanks to the Lab Armani Runway, a wide range of pigments and textures, that the magic operates.

A true working tool for Linda Cantello, it allows her to mix and test to find custom combinations.

The look of the show step by step

  • Step 1: a dewy skin

To create the look of the show that fitted perfectly to the fall-winter 2017-2018 collection, Linda Cantello created a strong, dark and mysterious beauty look.

The skin is hydrated with the Armani Prima Glow-on Moisturizing Balm and some retouching is done with the High Precision Retouch to hide any imperfections. The goal ? "Get a fresh look and dewy skin," says the make-up artist.

The reliefs of the face are highlighted with the Eye and Brow Maestro shade "Wenge Wood" and the cheekbones are underlined thanks to the highlighter Fluid Sheer hues "Beige" and "Lavender".

The look of the models is fashioned using a black pencil, the Smooth Silk Eye Pencil Tint 4, to accentuate the inner corner of the eye.

  • Step 2: a wet-effect eye makeup

Then place the eyeshadow effect "wet" ("wet" in English): the Eye Shadow Gel. A new product formulated with transparent polymers, pigments and nacres, which leaves a very thin film on the eyelid.

The multiplicity of layers darkens the look and its holographic side, much appreciated by Mr. Armani, offers a much more subtle rendering than glitter. A line of Lacquered Liner effect vinyl and a hint of mascara Eyes To Kill black come to bring the final touch to the make-up of the eyes.

  • Step 3: a shaded lips delicately pop

For lip makeup, "it was an accident," says Linda Cantello.

"I had planned to make a beige mouth, but Mr. Armani wanted something more" pop ", so I applied a pink more" neon "over it but he found it too flashy, so I've applied a third and he found the perfect result! "

The mouth is covered with three colors with different textures: the Red Armani "Sand" serves as a base, the Lip Maestro "Drama Pink" is applied to the lower lip and Lip Maestro "Artdeco" in the center to create a triptych mastered .
