Do you know where this Bayswater name comes from? No ? It is simply a neighborhood in Eastern London that is characterized by a particularly remarkable Georgian style. Inspired by these places, Nicholas Knightly, then artistic director of the brand, developed this model in 2003. Despite a relatively consistent production to fill the buyers of the world, there was no question of giving in to the praises of industrialization.

The Bayswater bag will be crafted, a point that's all! Like most Mulberry accessories, which are usually made by expert hands at The Rookery in Chilcompton or The Willows in Bridgwater! For this model, the success was immediately at the rendezvous, signing at the same time one of the greatest commercial successes of the brand.

THE BAYSWATER, A TIMELESS BAG

In designing his model, Nicholas Knightly wanted to stand out from the red carpet's hottest bags and the arms of Hollywood stars by giving him a "so British " note that harmoniously mixes English classicism with rock'n'roll accents. From Paris to Milan, via New York or Singapore, fashionistas swear by him, truly seduced by the clean lines and square model that strangely reminiscent of a doctor's bag.

Produced in a carefully selected leather, the Bayswater vehemently assumes a kind of rigor that seems to want to be released through a range of colors with spicy notes and an alluring touch. Kate Moss , Blake Lively, Ashley Green, Mischa Barton and many other stars still regularly make one of the magazines in his presence.

A LITTLE HISTORY

Founded in 1971 by Roger Saul and his mother named Joan, the Mulberry brand is located in the English county of Somerset. Very soon, success is at the rendezvous. Customers are seduced by the know-how and quality of the leathers used to manufacture the brand's various leather goods, so that the famous London boutique Biba decides to sell the Mulberry stamped products. Nothing like to be known by the general public!

His first big successes, the mark owes them, in turn, to the bag Braconnier, then to the indestrôable Bayswater. In 2008, the British firm entrusted its reins to a brand new director of creation, Emma Hill, who managed, in just five years, to make the brand fully enter the 21st century. Among his feats of arms include the it-bag Alexa or the bag Del Rey that inspired him the singer Lana Del Rey. Since 2014, the house is masterfully managed by Johnny Coca, a former Celine.
