Mythical, the Tropezian pie comes from a well-kept manufacturing secret. At the origin of this tasty dessert, Alexandre Micka. In 1955, he opened a pastry shop in Saint-Tropez, Place de la Mairie. Among the pastries "stars", he presents a brioche cream inspired by the recipe of his grandmother.

According to the story, it would be Brigitte Bardot who suggested to Alexandre Micka to name the Tropézienne as well. The pastry becomes the symbol of the holidays, of the joy of living, of a festive spirit that one likes to find on vacation, at the edge of the water. La Tropézienne tasting on the beach, in the sun, or sheltered under a parasol on the terrace. The Tropézienne pie represents simplicity. And in its early days, it does not exist anywhere else.

Today, La Tarte Tropézienne is one of the symbols of "the art of living in the Saint-Tropez", and its tasting, a ritual for holidaymakers.

Since its creation, La Tropézienne has developed greatly. The pastry has declined the traditional Tarte Tropézienne with creams chocolate, praline, coffee and caramel to vary the pleasures.

The pastry also retains its true function of "creative" cake to offer other traditional specialties such as raspberry pie, strawberry pie or lightning and Saint Honoré Tropézien.
